Mexico’s Street Vendors Go Solar

Now street vendors in the Mexican city of Oaxaca are using less gas to cook and more sun. These new energy systems aren’t cheap but with so many sunny days in Mexico, it seems as though it will be well worth it.

Dec 20 – Roadside food vendors in Mexico’s Oaxaca are re-fitting gas-powered food stalls with solar technology. It’s all thanks to efforts of a Swiss solar cooking pioneer who wants to change the world one street cart at a time.
