IBM: 1 Trillion Devices Connected to the Internet

It’s estimated that by 2015 there will be one trillion connected devices. According to this article, automobiles will run on 64-bit, multi-core processors, and people with pacemakers will be monitored by wireless systems. It’s a new concept that IBM likes referring to as a “system of systems” where software and the Internet will interconnect with other mechanical, electronic and digital technologies.
