President Calderon Promotes Technology in Mexico

Felipe Calderón with Chuck Robbins, senior vice president for the Americas region; Jaime Valles, vice president of Cisco Latin America and Rogelio Velasco, general director of Cisco Mexico, pictured above, visited Cisco headquarters in San Jose, California and HP headquarters in Palo Alto, California.

As part of efforts to promote Mexico’s technology sector, Felipe Calderón, the president of Mexico, toured both HP and Cisco headquarters at the beginning of June. Calderón was accompanied by Arturo Sarukhán, Mexican Ambassador to the United States, Bruno Ferrari, the Mexican Secretaría de Economía, Carlos Guzmán (PROMEXICO director), Armando Garza Sada, president of Grupo Alfa, and Tomas Milmo, Chairman of the Board and CEO of AXTEL.
