First Female Winner of Ernst and Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Olivia Lum of Hyflux

On Saturday, Olivia Lum, Group CEO and president of Hyflux Limited (Singapore), was named the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 at an awards ceremony held in Monte Carlo’s Salle des Etoiles. Olivia is the first woman to win the award since its creation in 2000.

Olivia was picked from among 49 competing country finalists, who had been previously chosen in their home countries as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. This year saw more female finalists – six in total – than ever before.
